I finally made it into the Top 100 lenses today!
Out of around half a million pages, this one made it to #68.
Tattoo Regret
Okay, so it’s a bit silly to be excited about, maybe, but I’ve been trying… although this is NOT the lens I expected to make it that far!
That’s okay. Whatever helps someone and perhaps puts some pennies in the pocket.

As if I didn’t have enough going on with CafePress, Squidoo, Facebook and Twitter …
Soon, I’m sure I’ll learn why I need all these.
More likely, I’ll neglect them like Myspace and YouTube.
…
Okay, enough fooling around.
I’m uploading new designs to CafePress because that seems to be *THE* dependable ROI for my time.
As soon as I’m done playing some random Facebook app …

I’m wondering myself how well this will catch on.
Here are my first feeble attempts at utilizing the TWTTRSTRM model.

The email arrived quietly yesterday, among hundreds of others that I will file and probably never read, due to lack of time and general sense of meh.
But the words “Squid Angel” jumped out at me.
I’ve been neglecting my Squidoo lenses since not terribly long after becoming a Giant Squid months ago, due to aforementioned meh and absolute aversion to spending additional hours before a computer monitor after a long day of staring at text and graphics on my huge (yet still never quite big enough) Apple Cinema display at work.
Now that I have special super secret powers, however, the lure of Squidoo is impossible to fend off.

(Plus I get another cool badge.)
If you’re a Squidoo lensmaster and you have a very special lens you’d like me to review, post a link to it in the comments.
Be warned: Angels can not only offer blessings but can also smite your lenses with dings. Don’t send me crap unless you’re prepared to suffer the consequences. I’m not as angelic as the term implies.
But chances are, unless you’re fool enough to actually send me a flaming bag of dog crap lens, I’ll just ignore it rather than take negative action.
I’m not inclined to leave a lot of “you’ve been blessed” messages in guestbooks as I quickly grow weary of entering captcha codes when I’m already logged in at a site, but when you get a blessing your lens will receive a temporary boost in LensRank all the same.
[Not sure what the heck Squidoo is all about? I posted this how-to blog months ago and sort of forgot about it, but it tells you what to do if you'd like to give lensmastering a try.]
I’m excited.

Please do not buy me these things for Christmas or any other holiday …
Presenting, the anti-wishlist!
Although, the bacon band-aids are intriguing …

What is this?
Saw an intriguing link on the SquidBlog, and followed it.
Seems I have the #9 spot on Twitter Grader for “Squidoo.”
Three seconds later, I find myself in the #1 spot for “CafePress.”
I don’t know what it all means, but I’m guessing it’s good.

Sweet!

Someone clicked on a link just like the one above, and signed up for Revolution Money Exchange.
It’s a service similar to PayPal, but without the oppressive fees. I made a lens about it.
And I got a $10 bonus today! :D
Just transferred $30 to my credit union savings account, because I had two other $10 referrals sitting there in my Revolution Money Exchange account that I’d forgotten about.
Total earned in referral fees since I joined RME in March: $180.00
Here’s a blurb from the site:
It’s free to sign up and free to send or receive money online between account holders. Plus you can earn up to $500 when you refer friends and family. See terms and conditions.
Try it if you like. I bet you will!

I’ve been migrating pages from my website to Squidoo, because … well, getting more traffic, and getting paid, simply sounds good to me!
from the site:
What’s Squidoo? Squidoo is the free (yes, free), simple tool that makes it easy for you to publish your passions online and share real, human recommendations on the web. From authors and astronauts to marketers and musicians, to cat lovers and seahorse keepers and quilt makers and video gamers and teachers and… well, everyone… anyone with something to say, share, promote and recommend is welcome on Squidoo.
No idea what to write about? Write about what you know. Write about something you’re passionate about. Review a great book. Warn people away from a horrible movie. Introduce someone to your hobby.
Not a pro at webpage coding? No problem. Squidoo has these doo-dads called “modules” that do most of the work for you. Headers and links, bulleted lists and more, made simple.
Still stumped? Check out the Top 100 Lenses of the day. But please remember to sign up and create your first lens with my referral link and you’ll get a bonus $5.00. (I only get paid if YOU do, so I have every reason to want to help you succeed!)
Getting started:
Don’t be afraid! Check out this lens made by the founder of Squidoo: Why Build a Lens?
The best way to learn to do Squidoo, is to simply DO IT. You will quickly get the hang of adding, moving and editing “modules” and what each one looks like and does.
This lens has some dated screen shots, but the basics should be covered: How to Make Your First Squidoo Lens
Visit some of the high-ranked pages (check out some of the Top 100 lenses) and see how the successful people build their lenses.
Here is a beginners guide to the limited HTML coding that is supported within select modules.
Ready for more? This lens is about Building a Successful Lens … get comfortable with the basics first!
